A week of Art

We discovered some tutorials on YouTube for drawing faces this week. As a result, we have spent most of the week sketching faces and trying to get all the dimensions correct. Practice, practice, practice, as they say! I tried sketches of the children, which look like they have some family resemblance, but hmmm... don't really look like them! It's ok - I'm not expecting to become and artist overnight, but looking forward to doing some more sketching this year..

Frugal House Building

We've had a bit of fun this morning - building paper houses. We were inspired by Valerie's Rainbow Village. Now the Lego men can have a roof over their heads, which will be a great relief to them I'm sure.

(I must get me a sharp craft knife...)

Probability and photos

The probability of taking a photo of your children that is not blurry is inversely proportional to the number of children. (Sorry, that engineering background is coming through...). Basically, I took a dozen photos, and none are in focus! But I still think they're still pretty cute... The children, that is... Not that I'm at all biased....

A bit of lace

I inherited some rolls of lace recently, and have had some fun today making a bag with it. I think there'll be some more of these made soon...
