Rain and a spot of sewing

I have barely touched my sewing machine lately, except to patch the knees of jeans (a never ending job...). But the last few days it has been raining, and I've been finishing off some projects that have been sitting around for a while.

These fine, fat-bottomed ladies are ready for the markets.

Experimenting with new bag shapes...

A coin purse pattern I found hanging around... which is now a great little bag for storing all the hair clips that are scattered in the bathroom drawers.

I this one is my favourite. The photo doesn't do much for it, but it's a gorgeous shimmery fabric, and it looks really yummy with the blue floral lining.

A perfect, sunny winter's day

It's one of those perfect, sunny winter day's today. Everyone is outside playing happily. I'm trying to take photos of the flowers that have popped up after all the rain we have had. And the dog is desperately trying to jump on me with a chew toy while I'm kneeling in the grass...

My new best friend!

Ok, so it's a bit sad that it's a laminator, but I'm having a lot of fun with it! The latest thing was a set of cards for littlest chicken to learn her letters. Saves a lot of paper when you can just wipe the marker off...

And I'm wondering if this is a sign of what's to come? I better start buying tough clothing...

With the previous post about sharing resources, I should of course have said 'chew the meat, spit the bones' if you know what I mean. But here's a 'bone-free' one we are really enjoying at the moment, called Power Evangelism.
